Pinspired Art
I know I have mentioned before how much I love my tablet. I was just telling Jeff last night that in the few months I have had it, I feel like I have already gotten my money’s worth and then some. I use it A LOT.
Recently I have also acquired a new laptop, and we invested a little got get Adobe CS5. So now I have my super designing desktop computer machine, as well as my completely portable super designing laptop machine! It really frees up a lot of time for me, as I can doodle and work while Penny is busy playing in the living room or eating her lunch, and I can take my work with me where ever I go!
My latest little challenge to myself has been to work on drawing from references (too often I just draw something from out of my head, and it starts to look pretty much all the same.) as well as working on doing more detailed work. I have found that collecting images using pinterest is an easy way to collect fun reference images and keep them handy for when I need them. I not too big into the pinterest culture (I hardly have time to even make dinner, let alone make such fancy foods and DIY projects!) but I find it very convenient for a dumping ground for all my favorite design resources, giving me easy access at a moments notice for fonts, textures, brushes, etc.
Here’s my sketches based of a few of my pins:
