Christmas Projects
Merry Christmas Eve everyone! This has certainly be one of my more busy holidays, but personally I have enjoyed it. It hasn’t been one of those stressful-busy seasons, but more of a keeping-myself-occupied busy. Lots of Christmas cards and presents to be made! These are some of the projects I have been working on!
(One little tip I would suggest- if you are interested in me creating a card or present for next Christmas, it is never too early to start! I had to turn down more people than I like to because I just didn’t have enough time!)
Some presents I have been working on for my family:
This is a poster I made for my triplet niece and nephews. We’re always joking that my little Pen and the triplets should form a band called Penny and the Trips, so I made a band poster! This is one rock concert I would definitely be attending.
My parents love taking extended weekends and spontaneous trips in their little T@B teardrop trailer. It is the perfect size for them, and they take it all over the place. I made them this posters!
I also have been taking lots of family pictures for people lately. I don’t claim to be a professional photographer, but I have been becoming more knowledgeable with my settings and functions on my Nikon D90, and I have been working on my composition. And of course, I certainly know my way around photoshop. I’ve been having a lot of fun with it! So here are some family pictures I have taken too.
And unrelated to Christmas, here are some other things I have been working on in my spare time.
This was just a little practice in drawing something besides humans.
I wanted to play around with lighting and colors.
It had been WAY too long since I drew anything from Harry Potter, and I can’t even remember the last time I drew the Dursleys.
Penny got a little fairy costume at our Church Christmas Party, and has been flitting around the house ever sice.
After visiting the French Riviera, I couldn’t help but sing songs from one of my favorite musicals, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. And, since I have now been there, I knew exactly what Christine was feeling when she first arrived and sang this song!
This is just a little warm up drawing, loosely based off of me and Jeff 🙂
And this was just some sketch I drew, which Jeff suggested I add some icebergs to.
And that’s all I have for now. Merry Christmas everyone!
